Dr. Hylmun Izhar is a Senior Economist at IsDBI. He was a lecturer at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education (MIHE), Leicester, United Kingdom, following a fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OXCIS), Oxford, UK. He has been very active in delivering capacity building programs on various issues in Islamic finance. He is the co-author of a number of publications, including a joint UNDP/IsDBG report titled “I for Impact: Blending Islamic Finance and Impact Investing for the Global Goals”, a textbook titled “Islamic Capital Markets: Principles and Practices”, published by ISRA and Securities Commission Malaysia, and a book titled “Critical Issues and Challenges in Islamic Economics and Finance Development”, published by Palgrave.
